Worldwide Leadership Training!

Heyyooooo!!!!

Hey everyone! Hows your week going! Mine has been good! The highlihgt I think was the worldwide leadership broadcast!

HOLY GUACAMOLE!!!!!

Was that not amazing????????????

I just think it was so good! I don't know how many of you got to go... but it was so inspiring! Man... when a PROPHET of the Lord is TELLING us that we need to be better missionaries we had better listen! Heed the prophet's council! Be those awesome examples and use little opportunities to share the gospel. Ask yourself this question, "Why has the gospel blessed my life?" And then why would you not want to share that with everyone you love?

Go forward with FAITH! Trust that the Lord TRULY is hastening his work and he needs every MEMBER A MISSIONARY! I challlenge all of you to find one person to share the gospel with. You will see the blesings that come to them and also to you.

Kinda a short email this week! I love you all and will talk to you soon!

God be with you till we meet again! :)

Switch up!

Hello alllllll!!! It's almost summer for you all! How exciting!

We had a lesson with our new investigator Margaret. We taught the restoration, but most of it went over her head. We tried to not teach too many principles so that she wouldn't get confused... but she still did. I love margaret. She is the mother of a family in our ward, the goodmans, she is sis. Goodman's mom. Margaret lives with her son john, who we also want to start teaching, and goes to a Christian church down the street called Parkcrest. John loves this church and has been attending for like 8 years or something like that. Margaret goes because it is convenient. She said that she hasn't quite gotten that "feeling" that it's the right church though. She was raised Catholic but doesn't practice because the catholic church doesn't make sense to her. We asked her if God told her that This was his true church, if she would be baptized, and she said she didn't know. So currently we are trying to help her reiceive that desire. If she doens't progress and keep her commitments we will have to drop her, which breaks my heart, but without the disire, nothing will happen.

Also, I went on exchange with Sis. Luft on Friday to Saturday night. She is such an amazing example to me. She taught how to more effectively use time and also how to contact better and more effectively. We talked to EVERYONE on the street that we came in contact with! Which was SO awesome because I have never done that before. But I have alot more confidence at how to go about it now, and so you better believe that I have already started that with sis brown. We also talked about how to go about the say and plan for the day better. I really feel like the exchange helped me and made me more confident as a trainer. I still have alot to learn and fix and be better at. But I am trying.

When Sis. Luft and I were talking to people on the street we came up to this woman named Katie and said hi. She gave us this SUPER skeptical look and said... "Did my mom send you?" hahaha! It was so funny!! We said no and she told us about how her mom was Mormon and actually in town. So her mom came out and invited us in and we met EVERYONE that was there. They were having like a fathers day party thing! It was awesome and we made a friendship with this part member/Less active family! It was SUCH a testimony to me that we have to talk to EVERYONE because if we don't we might miss those opportunities! What if we hadn't talked to Kaitie? We never would have got our foot in the door!

I know that this gospel is Christ RESTORED gospel. I love my Savior and I love the Book of Mormon! Read it! Pray About it! I have and I was able to see the miricles that have come because I did. I know that the Book of Mormon, along with the Bible, is another testiment of Jesus Christ. And that it was translated by a prphet of God. I love this Gospel. I am grateful to be serving the Lord even though it is hard! I love you all so much! I pray for you all! Have an amazing week! Write me a letter in your spare time!

First Week As a Trainer!

Well, Guess what.... I'm still alive this week! HA! Barely.... But
alas.... I am alive! My new Companion's name is Sister Brown. She is
AWESOME! We get along SOOO well! We have very similar personalities
and we really work well together!

This week with Sister Brown was awesome! She started out the week a
little bit homesick, but she's here so she is going to be here. She is
super motivated and just ready to invite EVERYONE to come unto Christ!
I love her so much work really well together. She motivates me and
strengthens me and I do the same for her. I think its good that I am
training at six weeks because I REALLY have to rely on the spirit
because I don't know what I am doing. I sometimes feel at a loss
becuase of my previous trainer, but I slowly but surely feel like I
can do this! Sister Brown has so many amazing ideas and she is just
awesome! She is still searching for that super strong desire to be
here, but it is coming and I can feel it building inside of her. I
love her so much already! We just really get along and understand each
other. Our stories and situations are similar and so we can relate to
each other.

Our numbers were not the greatest last week... :( This week we are
REALLY continuing to focus on finding those who are prepared to
recieve the gospel. It's hard, but I know that through the Lord all
things are possible. And I know that as we continue to do OUR best and
end the day feeling like there is nothing more that we could have
done, then we will have success. I don't ever want to go to bed
feeling regret for anything that happened that day. And I know that
with sis Brown as my companion, we will accomplish great things.

As part of our finding efforts, we really want our ward to get excited
and become more involved. It's hard because most of our ward is
overthe age of 65 and so they don't get too excited about member
present lessons and such. Don't get me wrong, there are DEFINITE
exceptions! But majority doesn't. Most of the younger families in the
ward are
either in primary or YW, and so we need to get to know those families
somehow and get them excited about missionary work. That is something
that we are currently working on. As we go to dinner appointments, we
are going to give PMG thoughts to members and invite and commit them
to pray for missionary opportunities. And they might come in the way
of a phone call of us inviting them to a lesson! But we NEED more
member referrals and more member present lessons.

Studies are good! I am still continuing 90 day BOM challenge. I am in
Alma right now and reading about the sons of Mosiah and thier awesome
missionary work. I love the applications that I can make with the
scriptures and I know that as I continue to read and study the BOM,
that I will get better at applications and be able to use them more
effectivily in street contacts or at doors.

I love this gospel! SO MUCH! I know it's true! And I know that the
Book of Mormon is the word of God and that if you read it and pray
about it with a SINCERE desire to know if it's true, that God WILL
answer you. I love the scriptures! I love my Savior! And I love my
Heavenly Father!

God be with you 'till we meet again!

Love,

Sister Bauer

I made it a whole transfer!!! :D

Well HELLOOOOOOO FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!!!

Man!!!! It has been a CRAZYYYY week! A LOT HAS HAPPENED!!!!! Where to start?

Well, tomorrow is transfers! I made it a whole transfer! Yay me!!!
haha! And not only did I make it.... but I'm TRAINING this transfer!
Yes... you read that right! I am TRAINING!!!!!

I know!!!! Crazy right???? Let me just explain how crazy! When a new
missionary first gets out into the mission feild they go through what
is called a 12 week training program. And then after it is over, they
are supposed to be able to train. Well, I'm only 6 weeks through my
training program and they are having me take over the area and TRAIN!
Kinda crazy! I couldn't believe it when they told me!!

Also, I found out that 2 of my BEST FRIENDS are engaged!!! TO EACH
OTHER! Congrats Allyson and Jordan!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D I am sooooo
excited for you both! That is so awesome! Write me a dang letter so I
can hear it from you!!!! Now I know how all my missionary friends felt
when all my friends got engaged/married when they were one THEIR
missions! Wierd!

Today Is my birthday!!! :) I am now 21 years old! Go me! :) There is a
less active family in the ward who gave us a 20 dollar gift card to
In-N-Out, so we are eating there today! :) That one's for you dad!!!
:)

Sister Hyatt, my companion, is being transfered to Huntington Beach. I
will stay in Long Beach. I'm pretty excited to train! It will be
great!

As far as the work here. It's chugging right along I suppose. Right
now we only have 1 investigator. His name is Scott and he is CRAZY! We
might give him to the Elders but we will see. He has seen several sets
of sisters and so he has a hard time taking us seriously, but we will
see what happens. We taught him the Restoration last week and REALLY
focused on the BOM. It was awesome! Then He called us the next night
and said He really wanted to learn EVERYTHING he could about it! It
was awesome! He has MASSIVE potential! I'm way excited!

We are really going to focus on finding activities this week. Go by
formers, and also some good potentials. I know that good things are
going to happen! I can feel it!

This transfer President Bubert and Sister Bubert leave! :( I am so
sad! I love those two with all of my heart. They are the most amazing
mission leaders ever!!! PResident Bubert gave me and amazing
preisthood blessing yesterday because I was way nervous to train and I
just imagine that the Savior would be exactly like that man! I will
miss BOTH of them very dearly!

Well, By the next time you get an email from me I will have a BRAND
NEW MISSIONARY FRESH FROM THE MTC! :D and I will be the experienced
one! haha!!!! :) Well Nothing much else to say! I love you all!!!!
Have a wonderful week! Pray for me! I will pray for you as well!

Love, Sister Bauer
